Journal for today January 26

od's word illumines my surroundings so that I can see colors.

God's word colors my life!

Psalm 119:130 KJV The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

NET Your instructions are a doorway through which light shines. They give insight to the untrained

.BBE The opening of your words gives light; it gives good sense to the simple. The retina contains two types of photoreceptors, rods and cones. The rods are more numerous and are more sensitive than the cones but they are not sensitive to color. The cones provide the eye's color sensitivity. At low light or night we do not see much color but at day light the colors are vivid. The more light, the brighter the colors.

If God's word is not unfolded to us everyday of our lives, our surrounding light will be dim or low and we will not see colors. Our direction is not clear, we are discouraged, we are not motivated, we just go about the motions. But the more we are enlightened by God's word everyday, the more we see colors in our lives and the surroundings. The yellow brick road can now be seen, we can now see the beauty of God's creation, we can see colors on the horizon, we are encouraged, life becomes more enjoyable.
Be full of light then.
