If honey from the honeycomb is better as it is fresh from the source, wisdom directly from the Word is much better.

Prov 24:13-14 KJV My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off .

BBE My son, take honey, for it is good; and the flowing honey, which is sweet to your taste: So let your desire be for wisdom: if you have it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off

WEB My son, eat honey, for it is good; The droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste: So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul; If you have found it, then will there be a reward, Your hope will not be cut off.

Honey is good, but honey dripping or flowing out from the honeycomb is even better as it is fresh, not oxidized and the quality is high as it is said that the main losses of quality take place during preservation and distribution.

Wisdom from the word of God is similar. Fresh is better. So how do we find fresh wisdom?Personal daily devotion, studyThis should be our main source.Diligent study and meditation of the Word is required.

The Holy Spirit is our greatest Teacher and Mentor.
MentorsThis includes our spiritual leaders, godly teachers, elders and parents. Their care in the preservation of the quality of the teaching during acquisition and journalization (honey extraction and preservation), and the delivery (honey distribution) is very important. The source must always be acknowledged also, i.e., there should be lots of Bible quotations and citations. Now as a prudent student of the Word like the Bereans, you always need to verify by checking the source (Acts 17:11).

Canned sermons are not usually effective as it lacks power. Teachings with no Word is not powerful as there is no life.ObservationWhile observing things, processes, and events; thoughts and instructions might be dropped in your mind (Prov 24:30-34). Sometimes, you can directly quote a Bible verse or several verses for that from memory, but sometimes you need to search the Scriptures to verify.
