A GREATER PANDEMIC THAN COVID-19 IS AHEAD

"For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" (Rev. 6:17, NKJV)

Revelation 6:12-17

The term "Pandemic" is defined by Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary (8th edition), as "a disease that spreads over a whole country or the whole world. "COVID 19 refers to a popularized Corona Virus that plagued the entire nations of

the world in 2020 which claimed about half a million lives. Because of fear of death, world leaders including so-

called world-powers were shaken to their marrows resulting in lockdowns or stay-at-home orders. No flight, Government establishments and private establishments and Churches were closed for several Months.

The book of Revelation (6:12-17) tells us that a day of doom, far greater than Covid-19 will visit the entire world with

greater plagues at the opening of the "sixth seal" (v.12) at the end of this age. According to John, the sixth seal changes the scene back to the physical world. The first five judgments (see vv. 1-11) were directed toward specific areas, but this judgment is universal. Everyone will be afraid when the earth itself trembles. Christ placed much emphasis on this particular aspect of "End-time" event in the Olivet Discourse (Matt 24:29, 31; Mk.13:24-26 Luke 21:11, 25). John gives vivid descriptions of these end-time

events as follows:

※There will be a great earthquakes; and the sun will become black as sackcloth of hair, the moon will appear like blood (v.12)

※The stars will fall to the earth (v13)

※The sky will disappear like a scroll being rolled up (v.14a)

※Every mountain and island will be moved from its place (v.14b)

At the sight of these unusual events, all human beings on earth-the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man who previously showed no fear of God and arrogantly flaunted their unbelief will hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains in search of protection or escape (v.15). They will even appeal to the rocks and mountains to fall on them (v.16).

Believers will not have to be afraid, because these judgments will take place after the Church is taken up in Rapture by Christ to Himself (1 Thess. 4:14-18).Sinners, consider your ways! Give your life to Jesus today.

Covid-19 is like a fragment of God's future judgement for earth-dwellers after rapture.

God, help me to escape these future judgements for unrepentant sinners. Amen
