LOVE WAY, THE VERY NARROW WAY!

Hmm. When Christ spoke about the narrow way, most of us first thought of a small tiny road to heaven that couldn’t take more than one person at a time.

The narrow way in the context of what Christ was talking about signifies high demands associated with making Heaven.

Matthew 7:13-14 KJV

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The price to make heaven is a high price! That is the narrow way. It is the righteousness that surpassed that of the Pharisees and the Sadducees! 

To make heaven, Christ demanded that our righteousness should exceed that of the Pharisees and Sadducees and the religious leaders of that time.

Reading from verse 12 of Matthew chapter 7, you will understand what the narrow way of verse 13 signifies.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Then in verse 13, Christ said:

In other words, the strait gate or narrow way is all about our relationship – with God and man. It is all about what you do with humanity! The narrow way is all about Loving man as God loved us. And the concept of love is one of the greatest and most stringent demands of God for us to make heaven.

The narrow way message of Christ can't be far-fetched from the message and life of Love. Love is the most difficult life to live by mortar man. For it is the total killing of 'self'.

In love, no room for revenge and self-aggrandizement. In Love, you die. In love, you don’t pay back evil done to you. In love, you love others like yourself. In love, you do unto others what you expect them to do to you. (Read verses 20-48 of Matthew chapter5).

Verse 44 in particular day:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Did you read that? Love stops you from going your own way! Love helps you to give up your right!!

Love helps you to love your unworthy spouse. Love tells you to accept that wayward child back home. Love demands that you forgive and let go! Isn’t that a high demand? Isn’t that a strait gate to heaven? And until you love that narrow way of love, you can’t make heaven! 

While under the pain of death, Christ looked at His killers and still refused to curse them. This can only be by love! So narrow is the path to heaven, which only a few men can follow. And that narrow path is Love.

Love's life is the state of dying! No wonder, Few walk in this narrow way. In this narrow way of love, no room for excess luggage of grudges, pride, revenge, malice, theft, and self-accumulation of wealth at the expense of others. In this narrow way of love, you reduce your excess fat and weight. You share what should be your excess luggage with others. You share your excess food, and excess clothing and shed your fat bank account for the well-being of others. With that, you can walk the narrow way!

LOVE HELPS YOU TO NARROW DOWN TO OTHERS!

Without the help of God, being found in divinity, no one can be found in this narrow way of love! The heart of man cannot love the way God loved us. Therefore, we all need Jesus in our lives in other to be found in this narrow way of love. So, give your heart to Jesus Christ today.

Don’t forget, Love helps us to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Love keeps you on the narrow way to Heaven. In short, the Love way is the narrow way!
