Out of zeal for the Lord, King Saul killed the Gibeonites. This act of his was against the will of God. And that singular act of zeal without knowledge brought famine upon the land and also caused the death of his grandchildren. (2Sam. 21:1-9)
You can be working against God thinking you're working for Him.
Zeal without fundamental knowledge is self-destructive.
Some, out of zeal for the Lord has lost their spouses, lost their homes and neglected their own children. Some being so eager to please God and man has jeopardize their own health, job and wellness. They have forgotten that even Jesus Christ on some occasions had sneaked away from mobs that wants to kill Him. At other times, he told His disciples to withdraw and rest.
God is not wicked! Under the guise of spirituality or something else, He will not want you to work against Him nor you working against your own well being.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
