EVANGELISM IS NOT SOUL WINNING: KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

EVANGELISM IS NOT SOUL WINNING: KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

One of my missions on this earth is to raise soul winners who will be well exposed to the subjects of evangelism and Soul winning for effective and efficient productivity.

Friends, evangelism is different from soul winning. They are two separate things.

You can be a good preacher/evangelist but not a soul winner.

You can gather large crowds in the crusade and never understand the principles of soul winning.

Evangelism is very simple but soul winning requires wisdom and work. That is why the Bible says, ...he that winneth soul is wise. Prov. 11:30.

Definition of Evangelism: Evangelism can be defined as the process of preaching the gospel with the purpose of leading people to Christ. Evangelism can be verbal or non-verbal methods of preaching. Sharing/distributing tracts is evangelism. Preaching to sinners verbally is evangelism. Your lifestyle  is evangelism, etc.

What is soul winning?

Soul Winning is the ends product of Evangelism. Soul Winning is the finishing part of Evangelism.

Soul Winning is when sinners are saved and well established in the faith. Acts 2:47.

Evangelism is not complete until a soul is saved and established in church to be nourished by the word of God.

The ultimate reward in heaven is not received in  Evangelism but in soul winning.

That's why the price for soul winning is high.

To be frank with you, it is very difficult to win souls than to preach.

The Bible says, that there's joy in heaven over one sinner that repents.

Have you ever asked yourself why one sinner, not even two or more?

You can preach to a large crowd, and many respond to altar call but it is in the place of God to know those that are genuinely saved.

However, for you to clear all doubts and be sure of their salvation, you must follow up.

Soul Winning is not cheap. In this kingdom, there are very few soul winners but many preachers.

Being an Evangelist or missionary does not make you a soul winner. You  may be an evangelist and not soul winner.

How can one become a soul winner?

1. Always preach Jesus during evangelism. Acts 8:5.

2. You must develop a habit of praying for souls before and after evangelism. 1 Tim. 2:1-4.

3. Always follow up converts after evangelism from time to time until they are completely established in church.

4. Always preach or evangelise with the consciousness of winning souls. Don't just evangelise, think about what you can do to save souls and keep them. John 15:16
